Strategic Sourcing Cost Improvements

A PE fund required support in helping its portfolio, a US-based provider of eating recovery and behavioural health services, to identify and remove costs from their business.

The requirement was for a hands-on operator, someone to deliver the work on the ground, delivering a cost reduction program across a number of key spend categories, primarily indirect such as technology, temp staffing, transportation, facilities management.

From a pool of over 1,600 highly matched consultants, the High5 algorithm matched the best 18 candidates for the role who were able to fulfil the requirements of expertise and execution capabilities.  The client selected a procurement specialist with a strong record of over 13 years of developing and executing strategic projects tied to cost optimization, as well as coordinating the associated change management for multi-site operators. Their areas of expertise and recent experience included many leading areas of spend for healthcare operators, including facilities supplies & equipment, food, janitorial and sanitation,HR/temp labor, and medical supplies and equipment. The successful hire led a 3 month project to deliver on the required strategic sourcing improvements.
